Running Late…
On my way to work, and allready 10 minutes late. Hopefully the boss won’t have made it to the office yet. You’d think it’d be hard for me to be late for work, seeing as I live not 10 minutes away from the office and I wake up a full 2 hours before I’m due in there, but it happens more often than you’d think. Usually the culprit is the downright shitty public transportation system here on the island, but today I suppose I have no one to blame but myself.
You see, I woke up with the undeniable urge to reflash my Z and install OpenZaurus, a fully Open Source version of the Z’s operating system. It’s much prettier and considerably more capable than the built in OS, but sadly not as compatible with the Z’s existing library of applications. Anyway, I woke up with thoughts of OpenZaurus dancing through my head. Some people wake up with morning wood, I wake up with morning geek. o.o;
So anyway, reflashing the Z is usually a fairly straightforward affair that takes no more than 5-10 minutes at most, but I just had to start to mess with things, settings, reinstall things… long story short, I left home a full 20 minutes later than I usually do. Factor in a quick stop at the gas station to buy batteries (I have this feeling sometimes that I singlehandedly keep Duracell alive), and I’m horribly late. Going on 20 minutes now… Ah, my stop’s coming up. Later.
