Guys night in…
So I’m here with the guys, playing video games, trash talkin’, watching Bo Rai ‘Cho from Mortal Kombat belch and fart on screen, and laying waste to entire cities in Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee. It’s great to be a guy.
It’s Javi, Jan, Ricky and myself laying virtual waste to all who oppose us tonight. We’ve just taken a solemn oath to learn Japanese together, which is just the sort of promise Anime geeks will make when there’s too much testosterone in the room. Ought to be fun. o.o;
Hadn’t realized how much more fun that Godzilla game is when you put it in German. More games should come with a german mode. It’s such a hilariously over the top sounding language (especially when you’re among a group of guys who are too insane to be allowed in normal society) that just hearing it makes any game more fun.
There’s only 3 controllers for 4 players, so it’s my turn to sit this round of destruction out. I figured I’d take the opportunity to blog a while. It’s been a while since we’ve hung out just the guys to be, well, guys. And it feels good. Don’t get me wrong, I love my female friends, and hanging out with the whole gang is a blast. But it’s nice to sometimes just be us guys and swear and play games and pretend we’re not domesticated. Hopefully we’ll get more chances to do this as the year wears on and Natalie and I move to another place (hopefully nearer to here). Ought to be fun. o.~
