Riding shotgun…
So I’m tapping away at this while I ride shotgun on my boss’ car on the way to deal with a couple of clients. He’s blathering away at something or other, and I’m nodding and smiling and tapping away here. He swears I’m busy at work hacking some code, so it’s a good thing.
I’m trying to take advantage of one of the reasons I wanted my Z in the first place: writing anywhere. I took stock of all those random moments in the day where I’m just sitting doing nothing for a few minutes, and I figured I might as well put the Z to good use. Not that it was laying completely idle before. If you read my rant on ebooks earlier, then you have a good idea of what I was up to. I’ve just about finished all of David Eddings (I’m about a day away from finishing Polgara the Sorceress) and I was planning to move right on to the Dragonlance books, but I managed to snag myself an ebook version of the latest Harry Potter opus, so I’ll likely be reading that one next. And before you say anything, I’ll also be owning the dead tree edition of the book, so I feel quite justified in snagging a version of the book that I can actually carry around comfortably in my pocket,and J. K. Rowlings’ capitalistic impulses be damned. I’ll let you know if it’s any good once I’m done with it.
