Flickr vs. TextAmerica: Fight!
How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
Two. One to hold the giraffe, and another to fill the bathtub with brightly colored machine tools.
…
Anyway, as you all know, I have a moblog over at TextAmerica. But I’ve always wondered if maybe I should use Flickr instead: I like Flickr a lot, better for sharing pictures in general, and the RSS feeds make fun stuff like screensavers composed of my pics, possible.. but then again, TextAmerica has that moblog format down pat.. we’ll see. I just put up a special little Flash badge for my pictures on Flickr over on the right, and for a month or so, I’ll upload my phonecam pics up to both Flickr and TextAmerica. We’ll see then which one I like better.
On the plus side, the Flash badge over there is pretty cool, might get you guys to go on over and click and see the moblog pics more often. ![]()

We welcome your comparisson, but i might suggest that you change your template to one of the new ones, which has all the new options built in. FYI we do gave the flashpanels, but we have way more options than flickr, you can have 12, 9, 6 or 4 images in our panels, click on ‘My recent image code’ on your moblog to see all the options.

Hey, thanks for taking the time to peek in here and let me know about the flashpanel and the template bits in TextAmerica, I’ll be checking that out as soon as I get home tonight then and see how it works. I’d been leaning a bit towards Flickr, but I’ll give those TA options a fairer shake now that I know they’re there. There’s still nearly a full month for both services to impress me.
