Well, been out of the loop for a couple days, sorry about that, but I’m back now. I won’t bore you guys with the details, let’s just get right back into the story. Jack sighed. He could feel the thrill of victory fading already. Couldn’t he have 5 minutes to himself in the game without one of his guild members hunting him down and bugging him for something? Ah, well. That’s the price you pay for being able to count on their help for the bigger quests. He stretched his back, and hunched over the keyboard again, typing in a reply.

<Rathnar> Hey, DA. ’sup?
<DethAdder> d00d, you in Falgor Jungle? Alone?
<Rathnar> S’right.
<DethAdder> Yer fraggin’ nuts, man. That place is, like, instakill.
<Rathnar> S’not so bad. Just took out 4 Razorbeak Foreststriders.
<DethAdder> On your own? Man! Hardcore!
<Rathnar> Heh, I know. Can’t help it if I’m good. ;)
<DethAdder> LOL
<DethAdder> Listen, d00d, I was looking for you ‘cuz I got this quest to do.
<Rathnar> Where at?
<DethAdder> … Zalman Keep
<Rathnar> WHAT???
<DethAdder> d00d, hear me out
<Rathnar> You’re kidding me. Come on, you have to be.
<Rathnar> ZK is like on the other side of the continent. It’ll take me 2 hours just to get there! Most of the land between here and there is Imperium owned!
<DethAdder> I know, I know, d00d. But it’s gonna be worth it.
<Rathnar> I don’t care how much gir they give you for doing the quest, I don’t have the time for this.
<DethAdder> This is the reward: [Blade of Arthaxis]
<Rathnar> Never heard of it.
<DethAdder> ‘bot it.
———————————-

Jack leaned back in his seat. What the hell was DA on about? He’d never heard of that item, and he knew just about all the Legend items in the game. No way he was doing this quest for anything less than a Legend. Frowning, he tabbed out to his browser and loaded up the ‘bot. Crapbot was the premiere information site for just about every online game out there. Completely user-created and run, it was the world’s most massive database of game objects, stats, mobs, and information for Multiplayer online games. Jack selected his game from the drop-down, and tapped in the name of the item: Blade of Arthaxis. A second later, the search results came up: ‘No Match Found’.

That was weird.

He typed it in again. Same results. He tried different spellings. No change. He even searched in a couple of other game databases. No results. What the hell was going on? He tabbed back into the game.
———————————

<Rathnar> DA, it’s not on the ‘bot. Are you sure you spelled it right?
<DethAdder> Totally sure. [Blade of Arthaxis], man.
<Rathnar> That can’t be right. It’s not on the ‘bot, anywhere!
<DethAdder> ‘xactly, d00d. Think about it.
———————————-

Jack blinked, and his eyes widened as he realized what DA was telling him. A new item. Something that wasn’t in the ‘bot yet. The chance to have his nick associated with the item forever. If he was the one who submitted its entry into the ‘bot, it would record him as the submitter forever. He’d be Legend, like the guy who found the Oblivion Cloak, or the priestess who first discovered the Gigantus Mace. He had to do this.
——————————–
<Rathnar> … I’ll be there in an hour.
