Just me goofing about with the videcamera while I do my Saturday morning errands, cashing in my check , getting the car washed, and the like. Just so you can see how boring my life truly is.

   So, why do need to cash in your check at Banco Popular, to then deposit cash at your bank? Can’t you just deposit the check at your bank? Is your bank actually an underground yakuza money lender? Are you being extorted? Should I call the police? Hire some shadowrunners?

   Fair question, and here’s the answer: Because my bank, though I normally love them dearly, have a bad habit of taking nearly a week to clear checks from other banks and have the balance show up on my account. If I deposit cash, however, the balance shows up the same day. As my boss *still* hasn’t gotten around to giving me direct deposit (even though he keeps blabbering about it), it’s worth my time to just cash it in and deposit the cash, rather than wait until the check clears.

   Why not open an account at Banco Popular and save yourself the hassle? I’d go crazy if I had to wait an hour in line…for anything.

   ’cause I *hate* Banco Popular. And I’m still holding out hope for my boss to start doing Direct Deposit and then I won’t ever have to set foot into a Banco Popular again. Not to mention that I like having all my accounts in one place rather than spread out among several banks, and, that bit with cashing outside checks aside, my current bank has incredibly good deals on my account. Hell, the checking account I have with them actually pays me a higher interest than Banco Popular’s highest-paying savings account. So.. yeah, I’d rather do the wait. It’s not *usually* that long, just when payday falls on a weekend, ’cause then *everyone’s* at the goddamn bank.

   Jaja! Banco Popular does smell like a sack of balls. But spending half a Saturday trying to get paid probably tastes like anus juice! Sorry you have to go thru all those hoops, just to get mula. Maybe your boss would be a friendly one, and pay you cash! =-p
